Church Planting

Over the past 21 years , Shining Light Ministries has been able to plant 3 churches in Mexico, two in the United States and assist in a church plant and orphanage in Africa. The process for church planting takes approximately 3 to five years. Shining Light begins planting churches by looking for a location where no church is currently established. A survey is taken to see how many people are in the surrounding area. After a location is chosen, many times Shining Light rents a building to begin the church while the building process takes place. Shining Light Ministries operates a training program to prepare pastors to plant churches in these needy areas. The staff mentors a pastor through the process of beginning a new church, and Shining Light fully supports the church until it can become fully independent and operate on it's own. Below is a list of the church plants Shining Light has had the privilege of starting.
